The Otherworld North East Research Group is formed of volunteers who share a joint interest in investigating and researching elements of the paranormal as well as promoting our local history and heritage.
As well as fieldwork such as surveys and investigations of alleged supernatural or paranormal activity, members also actively partake in research and site/sighting profiles.
OWNE group members are predominantly sceptics (definition: "a person who habitually doubts generally accepted beliefs" rather than the often misused definition with the sceptic labelled as a dogmatic unbeliever) with rational perspectives and questioning demeanours. While we take all reports of unusual occurences and potential paranormal activity seriously, OWNE understand that the majority if not all such reports are likely to have a simple and either natural or man-made origin.
