The case of the Little Girl of the Angel View Inn began in mid-2004, when Otherworld North East founder Tony Liddell was researching material for the book Otherworld North East: Ghosts and Hauntings Explored (published by Newcastle City Libraries in October 2004). At the time of initial contact with the Inn’s owner, the Angel View Inn formerly the Old Barn at Eighton Banks, Tyne and Wear (overlooking the Angel of the North) seemed to be suffering repetitive symptoms many associate with a haunting, with witnesses including staff, the Inn’s owner and more importantly from the Inn’s business side of things, customers.
