Otherworld North East are a non-profit paranormal phenomena research group specialising in recording the physical phenomena often associated with alleged ghosts and hauntings. Our aim is also to promote North East local history and enhance the heritage profile of the region's multitude of historical sites.

Welcome to the Desk-Based Research section of Otherworld North East. The investigation and study of ghostly and other paranormal activity is certainly not restricted to fieldwork: in fact without a thorough grounding in the background of a venue then fieldwork becomes random and often unorganised. This section of the website is dedicated to researching the history of the North East, as well as research into investigation methodology itself. We also have our project, 'Speaking to the Dead' which all website visitors can choose to help and partake in.
