Welcome to the Otherworld North East Project. OWNE was originally set up in 2003 as one of the North East of England’s only paranormal research and investigation groups who didn’t undertake public ghost hunts and for-entertainment-only events. Our work resulted in a number of publications in the paranormal and local history fields, and we secured a reputation for honest, no-nonsense work.
While the decision was made at the end of August 2022 to close the group’s overall activities, the OWNE researchers are continuing with their own projects, the details of which can be added here upon request. We are also continuing to monitor our Reporting Desk and we can organise site visits and investigations should the need arise.
